初二 was rather boring haha. My cousin-who-just-gave-birth didn't come, so we had 4 people to play mahjong, 5 people to play cards, BUT 5 KIDS TO TAKE CARE OF. Basically we ended up just poking the kids around HAHA and my cousins-whom-I-actually-call-cousins (I have a complex way of addressing my family) had to leave early because my cousin brother had to leave for OCS and so we ended up playing with children. Yutong SERIOUSLY DISLIKES ME JUST SAYING and I would never have known ut my dad has a way with children!
Just saying my dad's not at all close to the maternal side of my family, when he's there it's like when we're with the paternal side of ours. He doesn't meet his brothers and sisters frequently either, granted, but after all they're siblings :/

Guys guys want to read an article that covers several things I'm interested in, such as Nino, acting in Japan, idols in Japan, the Japanese industry in stark contrast to the American one, and OPINIONS? I was mildly surprised she could comment on Nino because you may know your talents but you don't need an intricate understanding of their abilities, their managers do, then I remembered she's CEO of Jstorm ==
Also straying to comment on Jimusho's inner workings: Kitagawa is over 80. And so is Mary. They're all active. And I'm sorry but they're not going to live forever (even if Japanese are somewhat famed for their ability to live past a century). So... what happens then? The obvious answer is Julie takes over, but what then? Julie's not young either. (Also rumours that Julie and Mary are fighting for presidency. Obviously the cash is tempting. They're both very talented in the art of pushing idols though, with Mary in charge of the actual JE and Julie in charge of Jstorm, both of which house some of the most popular idols evar, and I don't care who succeeds Johnny. But I just want to say: they're really, really old and they might have problems in the near future when it comes to succession, because of how they stick to family and have held the company under them for as long as the company has been. (Sound familiar? Think bigger than companies. Think COUNTRIES.)
ANYWAY just read it it is fabulous and tells me things about Nino I've never known. Some parts are lulzy - I almost spat milo out at "Jun Matsumoto, with his ripped abs" because Jun does not have ripped abs, and he wasn't a face until HanaDan, let's be very honest - but most of it is accurate and surprising. I like that they talk about talent VS looks in the idol world, although I argue that it is talent VS charisma because there are quite a number of not-handsome-yet-popular Johnnies that overflow with charisma. And they interview Nino, and he talks about Jdramas and exaggeration! Quote: "They [The Japanese] make movies with greater and greater emotion, and it's not realistic," Ninomiya says. "So if you make a movie [like 'Letters'] that is based on reality, some people will find it uninteresting. They will say I should have cried more in certain scenes." Ohhhh. Flawless man. Also, EXTREMELY RELEVANT! Japan, please do acting better.

He's nice enough to appear professional and to be nice to people he wants to be nice to, he keeps up his image as an idol, and that's about it. KIND OF A JERK. I've said this any number of times. He's deathly situationally aware in spite of that, but he just. DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN. What I like about it is that he doesn't feel the need to be someone not himself. Of course, still an asshole.

Kuu has a habit of repeating her words in a song, which I don't really like. Omg the hoarse whispering rap. Hot. HAHA HER NAILS. Kuu's English is surprisingly good for a Japanese tbh. Omg shit I love this it's so dramatic and angry. Dramatic music is like, MY FAVOURITE. Omg the broken compass. The visual is amazing though. She's so angry! AND YET SO PRETTY. OKAY HAHA it's a fun song, not really rocky nor ballady. Just bubbly. Omg idek what she's wearing but I WANT IT. Her hair is flawless and so longgg. OMG HER HAIR IS DIPDYED BLUE. (IF YOU CAN CALL DYING HALF THE HAIR 'DIPPING'.) And I love that her fans sing the first few words of the chorus with her! Or rather, THE WHOLE SONG, just that they practically fanchant those lines. I'm glad Kuu isn't overshadowed by the artist she's featuring. The autotune is almost upsetting but given the context - slowing down time in a dystopia - it's perfect. I like this song gosh. Omarion rapping. I don't... really like his flow. Well. It's match with the instrumental isn't amazing sooo. I always wonder how Kuu manages with her English-speaking artists. They're sweet together though! Definitely works. APOCALYPTIC ENDING. It is great.
