And it's not just been a crazy week because of recommendations: we've had ground school on Saturday, after which a bunch of us had sim and flights, and on Sunday at least 5 of us flew. De Witt said our course was really slow on Saturday, and I supposed he said it in jest but given the way they packed us in after that I'm not really sure.
In any case my coursemates are amaaazing and the past few months have been great because of them and all our crazy jokes and stupidity, and I truly, sincerely, wish them all the best.

Groundschool, lunch, then SIM. CAI is the most. tiring. thing. ever. It's like a lecture by a COMPUTER. I mean that's how I study but! Plus that day I couldn't pause the audio lolol I was panicking like mad while I wrote sigh. I still don't know shorthand! ): Pre-flight brief by De Witt, then we went for lunch as a course at Jalan Kayu!
Came back for Stalling sim, and I misread the Sim debrief sheet so I didn't know I was supposed to do engine failure and engine fire in flight oops. I mugged engine fire on the ground and EFATO but yeaa. But it wasn't in the solo req, that was for my flight. Oops. But yea anyway just panicked a lot and the PPL guy who helped me with it was kinda pissed haha. Also my coursemate was fucking with the controls LOL he switched it to night and then I COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING HAHA but yeaaa. Did PFL, but FAILED DESPERATELY AT IT I couldn't round out properly then I floated, bounced, and crashed. Um. Ummmm.
Also I was practising with Sally because her flight was later that afternoon, and then another PPL guy came down and told me the PPL people (PPL people is my favourite thing to say lolol) were talking about how high-pitched I R/T. SIGH. THINGS THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE.
Yea came back and CRASHED. It was a long day sigh.

Sortie 7! Tan SL, Oscar, 2nd wave.
So yea did stalling, SSR and incipient recovery. (I'm reaching the stage where I blog and no one knows what the fuck I'm talking about LOL.) So um. Well I CAN'T REMEMBER MUCH ANYMORE but for some reason I was super nervous although I was prepared, then I ended up screwing my checks SIGH. Also I was doing overhead climb and overhead rejoin, so I was a bit ada;adkjf;alkjfd;lakjf about my R/T but I MANAGED IT. She said my R/T was good except for some excessive information when I R/T lol.
Tan SL: -stuff abour R/T-... I mean, do you see that in the manual?
Me: ... Um. Actually. Ya.
But hmmm okay yea basically my airmanship was kinda off (kinda: understatement of the year) and the stalling itself, well I'M DAMN GOOD AT THE STALLING PART HAHAHA okay not really even then I can't maintain height perfectly and well I panic when the nose drops and I don't ~ease~ the control stick forward!
Oh oh with Tan SL's help I managed to get the hang of levelling off after a climb! Like, I kinda always sucked at it (climbing descending: MY WORST ENEMIES) but I managed to level off at the RIGHT HEIGHT. Um, ACHIEVEMENT MUCH.
Did engine fire in air too, which was quite okay! But the R/T I know for it changed a bit haha but okay I shall. COMMIT IT TO MEMORY.
Also okay I CAN'T REMEMBER MUCH ELSE I have notes in my phone somewhere but anyway I kinda thought I really, really sucked and I WOULD HAVE FAILED MYSELF, but Tan SL was super nice gosh. Ahhh. But yea I need to work on my own handling and be more of a chill pill! Plus I'm doing circuits soon AHH. AHH AHHH. Ya okay. PANIC.
OH FORGOT TO MENTION I TOOK OFF! HAHA AND THE STALL WARNING INSTANTLY CAME ON -LOSER TTM- Apparently the climb attitude someone showed me the other flight didn't work OTL. Also: AMAZING HORIZON YESTERDAY. It was practically cloudless! Maybe that's why lol all the attitudes I flew were super off 'cos I usually fly by haze line. Idk though ahhh.
Had to cancel all my weekday bookings (which ops cancelled for me of their own accord ide) so yea waiting for weekends now. Sighhh.
After my flight went to my cousin's house for ~house visitation~ and tbqh to gamble. HAHAHA. I lost money AGAIN but ah well it's all in fun anyway! I spent lots of time laughing la haha :D

First 2 are discworld novels, Brave New World is a classic, and The Suicide Collectors, I think someone recommended it to me or sth. Idk I saw it and felt familiarity.
ALSO I finished The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy! Um, read it for leisure because it's funny and amazing, and IT IS. Lolol I can't even. The deadpan of the characters as they exchange insults and jests! The humour is ridiculous. In some sense it reminds me of Pratchett, and dear god I do love Pratchett. It's so whimsical, and improbable, and yet all the improbability is accounted for! Pop culture references, like the hamlet monkeys! AHH.
Basically: I LOVED IT. In the way I love Discworld, not because it's terribly stunning, but because it's fun and a great read, especially if I don't have too much time (:

Idek what happened to me. I can't find that zone anymore. And nothing satisfies me, I can always pick on something that I write until I give up entirely. And when I finally get satisfied with something, writer's block inevitably kicks in.
Where's that stupid zone, why won't you resurface so I can write like a normal person anymore.

And tbqh everyone is on about how "you could say they're just friends if they were male/popular smh" well um. They could, but when they tweet about dating and having sex? Um. You could try. In better AKB news: Akimoto Sayaka gets some recognition. She's being a flawfree columnist for Numero, which is apparently this big deal of a fashion magazine :D Awesooome :D
And: when suit companies use female idols for their ads. Maririn with her cropped hair and flawless stance work the look. The rest... meh. They should've kept the hair down, the juxtaposition would've been incredible and they would be dashing and gorgeous all at the same time. Also, it's interesting to use female idols for this, because the attract male attention. (Remember the AKB deal with Peach John, lolol the turnout, just.)
In which I learn that I am not migrating to Japan because movies are 1800yen a person. Which is... 27 bucks. A person. WELL. Anyway box office revenue is dropping, no one is surprised because nothing interesting appeared this year. Anyway I'm surprised at the drop for GANTZ 2, are we sure there were rumours of a GANTZ 3? Because wow that is a drop. I wouldn't go for it. I am so out of Japanese movies ide. I can't believe Kaiji 2 sold so well gosh. Why? Because of the manga? Because people watched Kaiji? It's the Phoenix Wright Live Action theme! Is this. Superhero-esque to be superhero-esque or is it just me. But omg OMG THE LASER LIGHTING IS ACTUALLY REALLY COOL HOLY SHIT. How does he play!? Omg OMG the vocalist putting his hand right under the laser and having it reflect off. :D I like this. Quite a cool PV! The song isn't bad! I love the vocalist's voice. They kept performing this on end year shows in... 2010, somewhen then. Her shoes are so cute! The style is somewhat similar! Very cute and sort of like melodic chanting. I love her giant jacket gosh. OMG SO CUTE. Her shoes are like depicting these 2 children, one dressed in brown one in red! UM, ADORABLE. Ahhh are all their songs like this so whimsical and cute. Her guitarist gets so little camera time. Less than her shoes o.o LOL IS THAT FAKE SAKURA the sakura aren't in bloom yet! The PV is cute and the song is cute haha I somewhat like it. I had such a hard time typing that lol. Beautyfool? And Fukanzen isn't a word I've heard often. Lolol omg this PV is super LQ. What. OH okay it was just. Blur. Like really bad blur. Ahhh. SG is Oshare-kei, right? LOL IT SOUNDS. A BIT CHRISTMASSY. By a bit I mean VERY. Also the vocalist is like ROLLING ON THE GROUND. Ahhh SuG is such good 元気↑ music. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE 'BEAUTYFOOL' LOL TO MAKE IT HARD TO TYPE. The PV focuses a lot on the vocalist. And also THE LIGHTS HAHA. It's a little mad. Hey the guitarist looks a bit like Suhoon. How many PVs do I have lol. Omg. She sounds like Perfume. I was not expecting this. But not like Perfume in the... okay no she. She does sound like Perfume, slightly. Okay no they killed the autotune HAHA okay. I love the art director for this btw he directed VOICE and Fushizen na Girl! The colours are very pretty, and the angling is subtle but nice as well! Japan it's winter there right? What's with the sakura lol. I love how they angle things to make her look TINY. THE TINIEST. LOLOL. Omg lol this PV. So cute! The song's cute too but not really my style. OMG. I love it when they grab photos, put it in front of a scene, and it melds in perfectly! Her hair is a gorgeous shade of brown. Also why does she work yellow leggings.

I don't even know anyone I'm watching now I think. Like, I know your name but what's the last thing you released again? IN FACT WHAT HAVE YOU RELEASED EVER. JAMOSA's voice is great though. Ah she's J-urban. Her harmony with Naoto isn't bad! Oh yes keep zooming in on the hands of those with instruments :Db It's not bad! The PV is simple, idk there's a boer or something but for her and her featured artist they're just in this place which is half-library hald-recording studio with a bunch of instrument-players and just singing. The lighting and colours are perfect though, and it's not even colouring just costuming and sets to create the effect. I don't think the PV was full it fades out strangely but okay!
TOKYO NIGHT - MiChi
I KNOW YOU BUT WHAT DID YOU RELEASE. I've def watched something from her before though. The excessive fandomming kinda does that to me. The night cityscape is GORGEOUS and the blurring effect is kinda cool! Her voice isn't bad! I like the timbre. Lol the repeatedly changing field of depth is now fucking with my head. Okay the more I see blurry lights the more my head hurts, but the song is TOKYO NIGHT after all. The PV at the chorus is a little odd lol too much staying in the same place. The bgm is super fast and pumpy but her voice is just melodic and smooth lol. I could dance to the instrumental but probably not with her voice, you know? But it's still nice! The PV was a bit mindfucky and kinda boring at times but the song's good.
Kitaomoi - miwa
Omg so cute! The kids and the heart-shaped balloons. Oh so many balloons. She's playing piano! It's not bad! Melodic and sweet. The balloons are so cute omg. Ahh the chorus was a bit of a change. Hmm the last word on the chorus sounded a bit off. I love the whole white/red style of this! And they balanced the amount of CO2:helium to get the balloons to float around and take super long to touch the ground or to stay suspended in the air, super cool! They make a really cool effect. Ahhh so cute and pretty! OMG THE DAHOWS THING IS SUPER COOL. Awwww. AWWWWW.
